Buying & Selling your Home
People say conveyancing is easy and that one house purchase is like the next, but this just isn't so. Every case has its unusual aspects. You are not only buying a house but a piece of land which could have boundaries, rights of way, road charges and access issues all to be resolved. Often issues are specific to the local area and our experienced local team are ideally placed to advise you upon these.
The Conveyancing Quality Scheme is the Law Society's recognised quality mark for legal experts in buying or selling property. We are an accredited firm, which shows that our firm has a high level of knowledge, skills, and experience.

Remember, moving house is often the most important transaction of your life.
If you are selling
We can assist in the marketing of your property. We will draw up the necessary contracts for sale and deal with all enquiries raised in an appropriate and professional manner. We also often have to tie in another transaction, perhaps your purchase.
If you are buying
We can assist with the negotiations, will carry out all appropriate searches and enquiries and establish who correctly owns the property.
As we are a long established firm with a sound reputation, we will generally also be able to act for your lender at the same time, which should cut down conveyancing costs
What will it cost?
Apart from our fees for doing the work involved, there will be certain fees to pay on your behalf these often include:-
- Land Registry searches and registration fees.
- Local Authority search fees
- Stamp Duty (a tax levied on properties over a certain value)
- Estate Agency costs
